Those temps are perfectly fine, as long as it doesn't go over 210 during regular driving then you are fine. Sure do like to creep at stop lights in the summer though

Re: i have a carburated converted 92 cam must i have a front cooling shroud spoiler a

Yesterday it was 77°the temp on a 100 Mi. Trip reached 225..
I turned on the heater and it stayed around 210 220.
I think I will need a shroud by this summer running a.c. etc.
I found a 88 firebird v8 car shroud .

will it fit my cam ?
the guy can't send me a pic
he says it's a 3 pc assembly
your thoughts pls.
and thank you for replying yesterday.

I've never owned a firebird or looked at the shroud of one but I am going to go out on a limb and say it's probably the same. I agree you will need it during the summer because there isn't much air flow in third gens. I recommend replacing the radiator for good measure if it is the original, I went from over heating because of an old radiator to running too cool from a new one.
Just found this too http://www.hawksmotorsports.com/camaro-82-92-lower-radiator-air-dam/
There isn't an option for firebird so I'm 95% sure they are the same.

Pretty much everything in front of the rad support on the Firebird is different from the Camaro, with very rare exceptions.

No it is not; although they are somewhat interchangeable.

The core support and stuff like that is the same, but the way the fenders & GFX fit, the nose, etc. is different, and some of the parts interfere between some years & trims.

From what I've seen (haven't seen EVERY POSSIBLE variant though) the Camaro parts are mostly smaller and simpler, especially narrower, and will probably "fit" on most Birds; but may not be as effective on the other car because they leave places uncovered.
