Newbie needs some help

So I found this today. 91 RS 305. Any ideas what it is. I'm thinking fan switch .

Thank you! I'm have slight trouble with fan. I found this and was hoping the fan switch hadnt broken off in the block .

The fan switch in located in the block between cylinder 6&8 on a v8.
If the fan switch wire gets grounded the relay sends power to the fan.

Here is a schematic for tpi, the wiring on the lower fan is the same for tbi. The ac pressure switch on cylinder head switch being grounded will command on the fan.


The relay is on the bulk head next to the master cylinder.

Thank you. That is a huge help. I'm new to tbi. I usually tinker with VWs. Water and air cooled.

A lot of times the connector becomes brittle and breaks. If you need a new one here’s a link to one.

If the switch has failed a gn sw555 is a good replacement on at 210f off at 205f
Stock iirc is on at 226f.
