82 trans am shroud

Finishing a prostreet build, have summit radiator SUM-380455, anyone know of a direct fit aluminum shroud used that will work with these radiator specs? Also fans? Thank you.

Re: 82 trans am shroud

I don't know of an aluminum one, but I was able to reinstall my 82 Trans Am factory upper and lower shroud on a Frostbite radiator. My radiator looks similar to the Summit one. All I had to do was remove the rubber inserts from the top shroud and grind a little plastic off of the ends on the underside and it fits pretty good. I didn't have to modify the bottom shroud at all. I run a flex fan on mine. If you wanted to do electric fans, you could probably modify a later Trans Am shroud that uses electric fans. It's basically just a flat piece without the upper barrel. Here's some pics of my 82 with the factory shrouds and Frostbite aluminum radiator:

Re: 82 trans am shroud

This is of course an assumption, but I believe they're looking for electric fan shroud(s) and the fan(s) to accompany it.

I'm running the stock 84 electric fan, but without a shroud currently. I'd like to add one but I haven't been industrious enough to make one. I don't know if there's anything in the aftermarket for the stock fan.
