Reinstating A/C using R134A. What pressure to go with.
Hi all, ive bought an A/C kit to replace the old compressor, components and seals on my 83 Trans Am. The compressor says its ready for R134A but im fairly sure it'll need to run at a lower pressure than standard. I know there is a retrofit pressure swtch to deal with this but ive seen somewhere about turning the small adjuster screw on the standard (brand new) pressure switch. Does anybody know what the correct running pressure should be and how much to turn the screw by (ive heard a quarter of a turn) and which way to turn it.
Thanks in advance.
Rob.

When the outdoor temp is 90° the low side pressure should be between 40&55 PSI.
