My dad and I recently acquired a 1988 Firebird, and it's a 305 that's been converted to carburetor. The previous owner took out the compressor, but most of the other components are there. Well, the heater box is still there, and I assume that the heater control is still in place too.
As long as the wiring is still there, then it is all underhood stuff to get your AC back.
The ECM has nothing to do with the AC.

Oh great! So as long has the heater control is still there I should be able to wire it back up?
All I had to do was find hoses for the system and connect the electrical connections for the low side switch, the sensor on the back of the compressor, and the compressor clutch. A/C works well, thanks for the help.
