Evaporator Core Problems

I am hooking up my AC now that my swap is done and I am having some problems with the Evaporator Core and Expansion Valve. I know it goes into the small line at the bottom of the Evaporator but the core that I am using, Four Seasons 54537 does not seem to fit a valve. I put a regular valve in there and it sticks out about a inch. Am I doing something wrong? Other research says to use the 96 Crown Vic expansion valve with I need to get.

Re: Evaporator Core Problems

OK, I figured it out. It appears I was installing the expansion valve in backwards. I noticed the arrow that points into the evaporator. It seems to fit very tight when its almost in but I assume a little oil will help it seat. This is what happens when you take something apart a long time ago and forget how it goes back together.
