Better alternative??
Hey guys does anybody know of a better alternative to the Derale 16925 pusher fan?? I need to have pushers as I don't have the room to mount pullers because a big turbo is sitting there. These fans push 2000 cfm each but their lifespan isn't so great.
I was down at the car testing a few of the new outputs I made and decided to check them all out and the one fan died completely and the other fan spins at maybe quarter speed. They've been on the car for a couple years but only used maybe 12 months.
Anybody know of a good alternative please let me know. Thanks guys. I'll post a pic of the fans that died

Re: Better alternative??
You need to take apart one of the failed fans and see what is going wrong: stuck brushes, fouled commutator, loose magnets, etc.If design or mfg. is faulty, try Flex-a-lite,Spal,Maradyne ,There are some salvaged OEM pusher fans that could be tried too. Pull fans are quite a bit more effective than the same fan placed to blow from the front-even when the blades are pitched correctly for blowing-so if you can find a space behind to place a small 10-12" fans behind the radiator that will help.

fuse vs circuit breaker would only come into play if fans are getting jammed with ice or snow.Hopefully the motors are repairable-stuck brushes than can be cleaned ,filed down a little if they are getting stuck from dust.

Yea we'll see. They are supposed to be sealed from dust, debris etc but you never know being how everything is made in China with lax QA control

Re: Better alternative??
Anybody have any experience with Flex-a-Lite 239 pusher fans?? 16" fan that pushes 3000 cfm of air. I use a Griffin universal radiator with a core of 22.5" wide x 15.5" high so that fan would push thru damn near the entire core. Price is good. And reviews seem way more favorable then the Derale 12" fans I was using that failed for no reason.

Edit: I just went ahead and ordered it up I'll let y'all know how it goes
