Cold AC through Defrost Dash Vent ???

Hey gang,
I have a 91 Firebird... project car, had all new AC R134 upgrade back in 2016 or so, so needs a recharge...

My question... Knight Rider Replica, so normal dash vents will be blocked... I saw another replica with vent adapters, hoses etc...
Can I leave temp on cold and set top lever to far right / defrost control, and it should blow cold via top dash defrost vents???
I did get it to blow air through the defrost vent in that setting...
If this works, then I could save a few $$$ on the adapters / hoses to get the regular vents to work...
I'm in the Pacific NW, so don't need AC too much, and blowing cold via deforst dash vent will be plenty

Thanks!

Raf

Yes you can. Probably cause unusual amount of condensation on the exterior glass where it blows directly on it.

Thanks Aaron, good point about the condensation... I'll talk with the shop about how to use the regular vents with adapters and hoses and not so visible.
