1986 Camaro cooling fan
Hi Guy’s, I’m working on this 1986 Camaro fan which might be different than the later 2 fan setup. If I connect it directly to the battery it cycles every 40 seconds or so . Is this how they are supposed to work? There must be a heat sensor somewhere that allows the fan to run constantly. I was thinking to hot wire it but it just cycles. Anyone know how it works?

Re: 1986 Camaro cooling fan
Certain GM fan motors have an auto-reset circuit breaker built in to protect the motor from snow jams-that circuit breaker is bad or motor is bad.New fan motor is the fix. Better if the fan is properly thermostat controlled as original .
