loose or damaged chip?

Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: 700R4
loose or damaged chip?

Is it possible for my car to run or start and get hot then die out if the chip is loose or damaged? I got codes 52 and 55 when I checked it over the weekend. Answers anyone?

code 55 is fatal error code, basically it means replace the ECM
