Transmission: m6,a4
Axle/Gears: 3.90. 3.73
1227747 Ecm

Could I use the 1227747 ecm in my 89 Firebird TBI, would I notice any gain over using this unit..... I have a chance to pick a reman. one up for dirt cheap. Plus would I be able to use a chip from tbichips.com in it I have... Thanx guys

No. The trcuk ecm is designed to be enough to get by. Therefore it lacks a IAT. The car ecm is slightly better.

No. Chips in general aren't swapable from one ecm type to another. And in your case is definitely not swapable.
