Scan tool and other ECU?

Will a scan tool from AutoZone work when trying to read the sensors when burning a chip? Also, for someone who has no experience burning chips, how hard is it to tune the SD system?

Thanks,
Jeremy

Do a search on the internet for winaldl. Download the software and make the cable using radio shack parts.

YES it will

If it's the Actron Scan tool you're talking about, yes it will. The cartridge and cable are sold separately. I have a GM set for sale on eBay right now at way less than Auto Zone's price.

You need to buy the scanner. I like it because I don't have a laptop PC yet, and it suits me just fine. They give 2 books which explain a ton of stuff in a generic form. Probably best to have a factory manual for specific readings to look for, or a good friend at a GM dealer for help with it.

Just e-mail me if you have anymore questions about it.
