Rev Limitor

is the a Rev Limitor on an 88 IROC 350 TPI? when i accelerate, whether getting on the expressway or at the track it hits 3000 RPM and bounces, and jolts the hole car. i did the torque lockup thing and still have the same prob even with the torque lockup off, and it only happens at WOT. also when i am in 4th and floor it the engine will rev but it is like it goes into a dead zone, in a neutral area, and i cant figure out what this is. does it evolve a burned chip or is it that the engine needs a tune up worst than i thought? i thought maybe it is the the fact i have the ram air and havent gotten to the adjustable fuel regulator to pump more fuel into the mix, but i am lost on this one and any help woudl be great.

Yes, there are various limiters, but generally not for 350 Memcals. And, it is generally the MPH that is limited, not the RPM.

I think you have something else happening here. Done a full tuneup lately? You probably should have posted this question on either the Tech/Board or TPI.
