Bypassing check engine lights

I have a 86 z28. The ecm doesnt control the carb or distrubtor any more. I have a non-ecm controled carb and distrubtor. Is there any way to disable the errors that are generated from this?

Wouldn't you be able to completly remove the ECM? Or is there other functions that need to be retained?
