I am not sure if I will get yelled at for this or not but does anyone know? Thanks.

The harness connectors are different between them.
Both will run the same code (mask id) in the same manner with the same functionality.

So when repinning them will they line up differently?
I am curious if it would be easier to just get the 730 or get the 727.
I need as much help as possible. This would be my first major project by myself. I have the article printed out and I am reading it, but it just talks about 730.

I'd venture to guess that you are converting from a '165? If so, then use the '730. The '727 ECM harness connectors are very different from the '730/'165 style.

I have the pin outs. I just tried a guy that says he has the right connectors. I hope they are good to go. Then I'll be making my harness, And all will be good in my world. Til my wife finds me at the shop.

I've moved this to the DFI/ECM forum where it belongs and where the ECM expert (RBob) can give his undivided attention. I guess that's why RBob was made moderator of the DFI/ECM forum.
Along these lines,,
Does anyone have the packard/delfi part numbers for these 4 connectors and pins, or at least the pins?
How about part numbers for the other connectors in the system?
I two am wanting to build a harness from the ground up.
Thanks, Greg

GM Parts Direct can get them to you. They are a special order item, and take about 2-3 weeks to come in. I also got 4 packs from my gm dealer.
Also takes a special crimping tool.

You don't happen to have the GM part numbers do you?
If not, what do you tell them what you want?
I work at an OEM and I have the special packard tools so that should not be a problem.

The gm part # for the 727 pin is 12066132. I don't have gm #s for the plugs, But I now have a supplier for the four connectors. I don't want to break any rules about advertising so e-mail me at:
