94 & 95 lt1 vs 96 computers.

How different are the 94/95 computers from a 96? I have a 96 lt1.. I'm being told I should use a 94/95 computer.. but I have yet to purchase a wiring harness.. what should I be getting? or are they the same?

thanks.

96=OBDII, and is encrypted, if you want to tune on it, figure $1,200 for some limited editing.

94-95=OBDI, with OBDII, but the OBDII is inoperative. ~$200 for pretty complete editing.

Minor pin out changes between the two.

Yes.
96 used 4 O2 sensors, and a few other minor changes, as I recall.

Hello, good evening. Could you help me identify the year of the computer on an F Body? Does it have a number that tells you what year of car it is for?

Do you have a photo to illustrate where that number comes from?
