Cam swap in SD car

I have a chance to buy a used cam for cheap and I was wondering How the speed Density is going to handle it.
My cam is a stock 1990 LB9 camshaft part # 10111773, it specs are .413/.428 , 202/207, with an LSA of 114.5. The cam I might be switching to has a 222/222, .471/.471 114. Will I need a new prom for this cam?

Only if you want it right.
You might get in on tuning with proms before swapping. just to get the hang of it.
It'll be worth you time.

I agree. Besides, assuming this is a TPI car, unless you've increased the breathing ability of the manifold, a 222 cam might be too big anyway.
