Very basic datalogging question
Very basic datalogging question
If y'all have been following my posts y'all know that after replacing my old TBI on my '88 Blazer with a Holley replacement I've encountered a very rich cold start cycle and idle. Thanks to some of the guru's here I've come to the conclusion that I need to get a new chip burnt ( probably thru tbichips.com) to shorten the base pulse width until I can learn how to burn my own. My problem is that I have no idea how to datalog. I have ALDL, the cable and (I know this sounds silly but it's all I have) a computer that I can strap into the passenger's seat and run off of an inverter, but I need to know the procedure. Do I just plug the cable in, open ALDL and hit the datalog tab? Or is there more? TIA

lol, you arnt the only one to be stuck doing it that way
thats about it...
when you have winALDL running, the cable hooked up, and the key on, win ALDL should already be showing you data.
open winALDL right now and click the datalogger button in the corner... a window will come up
check the boxes you want logged... and when ready, click start. when done, click stop
the files get made in the winALDL directory... usually c:\program files\winALDL
its pretty easy
