DFI's in the Houston area
Anybody in the Houston area have experience with the DFI's. I talked to one of you before and was interested in getting together to play with the DFI.....I need help if you're still out there.
Accel / Mr Gasket used to have the calmap2000 and Gen VII software available to download right from their site, it came with a sample file that you could play around with offline. I know it's not the same as playing around with it hooked up, but it's a start.
i'll see if i can find the link.
EDIT: here it is--->

I am in Houston, but I can't offer any help. though I am intersted in how your car runs and/or will run with DFI. I, myself have been thinking of getting the FAST system. I am just tired of burning chips for the stock ECM.
I've got it running good with the DFI........but I've got a hesitation that I can't seem to get rid of.........Gene Deputy is planning on helping me to see if we can't get rid of it..........we'll be doing it on the dyno.
I've got a mild tune on it right now........and when I say mild......it means I don't know what the hell I'm doing. As of right now it will roll out and once I let it get past 4000 I can romp on it and it just goes up in smoke through 1st, 2nd, and about mid way through 3rd it will stop spinning.....I shift it at 7500 and makes power the whole way........but I have no clue as to what kind of timing it needs or anything like that. Once the motor is more or less broken in............I'll go ahead and bolt the turbos and intercoolers on................reprogram it and re-dyno it.
If you like.......once Gene gets done with the programming.......we can hook up and you can see what you think.
The motor specs are this;
383 all forged w/ 6.0 rods
Brodix Track 1 heads p&p w/ 2.08/1.60 valves
Accel Pro Ram intake w/ 55# injectors
9.2 CR
236/242 cam w/ 590/590 lift
a little radical for proms.......so I went with the DFI......plus it's twin turbo'd
What is it your running.......and where about's you located in the area.

Looks like you a very potent setup! Yea, whenever you have time let me know so I can check out your DFI/turbo setup. Man, that sounds bad a$$!
I am running a 383 Miniram and fastburn cylinder head combo. It runs well, but could run better....i.e. DFI. Ihave a 224/236 and 536/555 cam.
I live in the medical center on Almeda. When you can meet up send me a PM.
Good luck with tuning!
