computer question for tpi
i was wondering where i can dowload trustworthy software for free that can be used on a laptop to see exactly what the computer is doing i.e., o2 sensor voltage, knock sensor data, etc. i also would like to know where i could get the line that hooks from the computer to the aldl port for an 89 formula 350 tpi. thx!

You can download Datamaster and use the RECORD-MONITOR mode for free, and can even record 20 logs before forced to pay the $100 or so registration fee.
TunerPro is also free though I recommend doing the $30 registration fee to help support the DIY efforts and group.

so you can down load this on a laptop and plug your computer into the ALDL connector and see what is going on. Can you tell if the car is lean or rich and check for detonation? thanks

Yep. But you'll need to buy or make a cable. Try www.moates.net for that.
