injector settings
I am having a chip reprogrammed but I need to know what to make the settings for my injectors. I am putting the tune port setup on my stock LO3 305. I have ls1 injectors that flow 28.5 lb/hr @ 58.5 psi. I also have an adj. regulator so I can turn them down pretty far. my big question is what flow rate do I put in the computer? the programmer said he was going to put them in as 19 lb/hr so it thinks it is controlling a smaller injector. is this correct? input please.

basically just need it good enough to make engine drive well, not to rich, not to lean.

I wouldn't turn the pressure down that far, you may get poor atomization, and you might get some funky reactions from the ECM when it tries to change the PW and gets a lot more change than it was expecting. Calculate the flow rate at 40-ish psi and set the injector constant for that.
IMHO a good tuner wouldn't suggest using 28lb injectors and telling the ECM they're 19. It's just a shortcut to get more fuel, when the right way is right there in front of him (just takes a little more time.) Just my $.02.

I'm accually running the same injectors and they said it was suppose to be set at 25# in the chip for a 43.5 PSI, but when installed in the LPE 219, 383, SR I was getting 108 BLM across the board. I have since changed the constant to 28 and its all within spec except at idle. Also passed e check with flying colors and also gets 20+ MPG. Drivability is perfect also.
