Gen 7 DFI tuning question.

I am doing the final tweaks on my DFI tune, I have everything nailed down but the transistion from hard accel back to idle. Most of the time it will hold okay but if you rev it quick and back off it will stumble and die.

My min idle is set at 900, I would like it lower but thats the best I can get now. I have been tweaking the VE table on the decel side of the chart and have the A:F ratio correct but I am not understanding the throttle follower setup.

It seems like it would work better if the IAC would not close off so fast, I don't care if after I rev it up it would hang around 1000 and then gently come back down. The cam should idle fine, its pulling 17" or vac at 1000 rpm. I did the crude way of setting the min idle, I plugged off the IAC passage with my finger and idled it down to 650, it now holds 900 rpm with about a 24% IAC posistion.

Any suggestions on how to attack this problem?

BTW its Calmap version 4.0.0

Thanks,

Mark

Set your IAC correctly so you're at around 6% when idling warm. You'll probably end up tweaking your throttle blades, so be sure to reset your TPS high and low setpoints. The throttle follower sets your target IAC position vs. throttle position when not in idle mode. Use it to hold the IAC open further as needed when at or near WOT.
