tpi problems
a while back my car was runing like **** i was thinkin it was my ecm but found out that my 8th injector was giving out after i took it to get diagnosed. well my car felt really weak after 4500 rpm and so on it sputered. so i changed my all my injectors to 24 lbs then the car ran better than ever. bad thing it came back im thinkin something is damaging an injector beacause it has the same symptoms and its acting up again. waht can i do? could it be the wiring for the ecm maybe a short or the fuel pump burn off relay? i was lookin at it closely and the plugs for the realy near the firewall look quiet old!! any ideas?

This is just a suggestion. My 87 iroc is doing the same thing. Some guys at NTTGA.net said that I needed bigger injectors. They also said that I would need to get a new fuel pressure regulator for the injectors. You might need a new regulator.
Also, where did you get your injectors I'm going to have to get some 24#'s for my car? What kind did you get?
Let me know.

How do you know it's "X" injector?
Take an ohm reading on both problem injectors.
Should be in the 14-16 ohm range for a good inj coil.
If they are reading ok you have either a wiring problem for that injector or a fuel contamination problem. I think #8 is the first inj in the fuel flow direction. But it's been a long time since I looked at a 3rdgen. You should check your FP regularly anyway to see if a pump or regulator is going away.
