Has anyone seen this injector driver? It looks like it might be interesting.

While I have'nt used that particular box, I designed a quad low Z injector driver box that would drive 4 P/H TBI injectors or 8 P/H port injectors. I used it on a 4 BBL Holley TBI that I had on a big HP 383 stroker. The box I designed did not boost the voltage because that is what I wanted. The problem with boosting the voltage as stated in the product description you posted is that the injectors do open much faster. This can be an advantage but can also make tuning more difficult especially if it is a new setup with uncalibrated VE tables since the injector biases will need to be adjusted. You would have to have the injectors flowed and opening times mapped in order to populate the injector bias tables in the cal. If you just added this box to an existing setup, it would'nt be that much of an issue as all you would need to do is adjust the injector biases to make the engine run the same as it did before adding the box. Well sure! You're going to have to recal the pulsewidth bias numbers whenever you change from saturated to PH injectors. It would seem to me that as you can open and close the injectors faster, narrower pulses can be more accurately reproduced. This would mean better idling and more precise cruise fuel flow. Example: If you're running a 383 stroker with 8 lbs. of boost will need 50 pph injectors (that is if we want to stay under 85% maximum duty cycle). Now with 50 pph injectors and cruising at 63 MPH at 23 MPG, the pulsewidth (single pulse, mind you) the pulsewidth is only 0.87 ms! Those are pretty narrow. I suppose that my point is that this looks like a pretty smart approach (the boosted driver). Anyway, I'm going to try one. If anyone wants to know how well it works, PM me.

I am aware of what the box does and why. I was just pointing out some of the possible tuning difficulties if installing this box on an engine with uncalibrated VE tables. It does look like a very good idea if you need to run big injectors, but simply switching from saturated to P/H injectors alone has solved the idling problems of many hot setups. It is well documented with the '7749 V-8 applications. $479 is a lot of money. The box I have should work well. Heck, I'll sell you 5 of 'em for that price. JMHO
