Need Help with Holley 950 commander
I just installed the Holley 950 commander along with a Holley Stealth Ram Intake. When I try to start the car... the ecm is not getting the signal that the motor is turning over, so it's not firing the ignition. I checked for power at the coil and their is power there. I checked the coil and it's ok...

here is a simple question. I did the same thing when i built my motor. DID you get the adapter and plug in the Purple and white wire into the coil?? or distributor. can remeber which. that was my problem.

Yes I have that. I noticed that if the motor turns over like 10 times it will start to get spark.... Why does it take so long to start to fire the ignition??

Another question are you running a aftermarket ignition and coil? have you check the ignition module? (in the distributor) How about the wires?? condition?

I went out and bought a new dist. , new MSD coil, New plug wires, and new plugs..... I also have a new MSD 6A Ignition box. I did the test to check the MSD ignition and its ok........ Think its some thing in the programing???

Also make sure you have 12V constant to the C950 had that problem to with mine. If you turn the key on not start the motor can you edit the computer?? that will let you know if the C950 is working.
I know you saifd new Distributor does it have a ignition coil in it. i think they call it the ESC?? not sure. sometimes they go bad even new ones. happen to me twice.

1. What Distributor are you using?
2. What inputs from the C950 are wired to the ignition.
3. What ignition system have you selected in your C950 hardware setup screen?

I have the small cap dist.,
The 950C came with a wiring adapter that plugs into the dist.
GM HEI
The map I selected is the ZZ350 stealth ram w/ 30lb injectors

1. Make sure GM HEI is selected in the engine hardware setup screen and that the base ignition matches close to what you have when you read the balancer with the timing light and the bypass disconnected.
2.Need to confirm the follwing connections
Distributor will have a four pin A-D
A needs to connect to D4 on C950 EST
B needs to connect to B5 on C950 REF
C Needs to connect to D5 on C950 Bypass
D connects to GND
I would leave the MSD disconnected at this point.
Also Unhook the Yellow wire at this point. Just run the 2 pin from the distributor to the coil and make sure the coil has 12V going to it.

OK, I got spark now!!! it was the "New" Ignition control module. Car still won't start, fuel pump is working (43psi) at the rail. I used some starting fluid and it firing up for a sec. How can I check to see if the injectors are firing?

The injectors should have 12V when the key is on. Check that first.
The C950 grounds the injector to fire it. You may be able to check continuity to ground as the injector fires, but I doubt you will find a digital multimeter fast enough to register.
DO NOT use a test light as you may over load the injector driver. They due make injector test lights you can buy at harbor frieght. They plug into the injector connector and flash when the injector fires.
Two things can be wrong
1. you are not getting power to the injectors
2. the C950 is not getting the signal to fire the injectors (ground them per say)
I would find it highly unlikely you have 8 bad injectors

could check timing also. plug wires off or your advbanced to far or vise versa. check your c950 program and make sure all the stuff is correct. also if your using a Hale effect distributor ( i think i spelt that wrong or named it wrong) you might have to change that in the program to a normal distributor. I have the holley distributor, before they stopped making them, and it wouldn't work on Hal effect so i use the normal setting and it works fine.
