how many of you guys running EBL are using a WB02 sensor?
thats just one of my curiosity questions-im looking at getting a wb so i thought id see what wb sensors you guys are running-im kindof a carb guy trying to expand my horizons so if this is a dumb question i apologize.

also-correct me if im wrong but my understanding of the VE learn function is that when the VE screen shows a "-1" somewhere the ecm then adjust injector pulse width at that rpm X map area. it subtracts 1% of fuel at that load range.

what else does it adjust?

if you have a linky to some good reading matterial on this, that would be great
thanks guys ---a little bit longer messin with this thing and i think i will be doin pretty good
the cars already running really good-i just need more knowledge and tinker time so i can get it smoothed out.

My understanding is that VE learn provides you with a corrected .bin from an EBL datalog as far as fueling tables(lower-upper) are concerned. You still need to drop that .bin into your cars ECU. That is using NB02 feedback in closed loop. you can also use the WB02 in OL to achive corrections(VE Learn). That is the preferred method.

Re: EBL users

yeah ronny thats what i have been doing-its a great function except that by the end of the day (after alot of tuning) i find myself flashing the ecu with a bin named "somthingorother_new_new_new_new_new_new_new_new.bin". not that im complaining, i just get so caught up in tuning that i dont get around to organizing my bin file.

im really interested in finding out what WB02 sensor and controller other EBL user have----is a controller even required?.....

thanks for clarifying

This is actually changing. A new version of the WUD reads the PromID from the current BIN, increments it, and uses it as that part of the new BIN filename. It also updates the new BIN's PromId to match. Much cleaner way of doing it.

Keep an eye on the web site there will soon be an announcement of the release. Which will be available to all EBL users via an email request. Also added a knock alert sound feature, and some other odds & ends.

For a WB, will need a controller.

RBob.

Re: EBL users

You can also rename the file. For instance I name mine EBL1.bin then EBL2.bin, much easier to contend with. Whatever works for you!!!

Re: EBL users

I run a WB with the EBL. Those are the two best tuning investments I have made. They are both amazing. The learn function takes a lot of the headaches away too.

I'd like to put my glovebox back in, so I may be upgrading to the flash EBL sometime. I haven't even had the EBL a year yet, so it's hard to justify the cost at this point.

Re: EBL users

what WB02 controller do you guys recommend-you know the gig "best bang for the buck"

RBOB-i look forward to the updates-i will have to keep an eye out for them

thanks for the loads of info guys

pre-tuner--i havent ever had to actually burn chips but i would imagine that the EBL flash is a whole lot less time consuming-last week i burned 3 different bins all in one car ride-that would have been really hard to do if i didnt have the EBL flash
i just open the bin im using-mod the SA table(or whatever) and flash it-then good to go

Re: EBL users

You'll need an adapter. The one I used to use was a Belkin adapter, but you have to have a USB port.

Re: EBL users

I've been using the EBL with an LM-1 for over two years now. I love the EBL along with the WB02. I've gotten comfortable enough with it that I'm going to attempt to tune a 383.
