HSR system
I started to buy an HSR system for a build that I am doing. Been away from it for a few months and out of the loop. Now, I check Holley and they make a complete system based on the HSR. I bought the intake injectors,TB,Moates autoprom, new ecm etc. I was wondering if anyone has purchased the entire setup and has it running in their car. If so, how is the Holley ecm? Been reading all the DIY prom and I'm still a little hesitant to burn my own prom and put it into the car with a brand new 383 that I just sank a decent amount of $ into. BTW the car I would be trying to reprom is a 1991 Z-28. How about A FAST system. Heard bad things about Accel. Don't know much about the MegaSquirt system. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks

Re: HSR system
If I had to choose...
#1 Big Stuff 3 (OEM's even use it to prototype their ECM's
#2 F.A.S.T plug and play system
#3 Megasquirt (what I am running)
#4 Holley Commander ECM
#5 Accel DFI
#6 Stock ECM and custom PROM
There are other choices but these are the big players.

Re: HSR system
Just tune from a stock bin using your Autoprom. S_AUJP.V3 is a perfect place to start. Set all the basics in the BIN to match your 383 engine then go on nice easy drives to datalog/tune while you break it in. Make changes and test drive, tuning is a very iterative process and takes some time, just take it slow.
