only 2 injector wires? MEgasquirt issue

Im looking at my megasquirt fuel injection system and all it has is 2 injector wires. One says injector 1 and the other says injector 2. How could this be a multiport setup? Kind of confused

THe same way as TPI, or any other batch fire system, has only 2 wires and yet is multiport injection...

Each wire drives multiple injectors. In the case of TPI, it's split into left bank & right bank.

How I wired mine and others have done theres is slightly different. I have mine wired as follows...

Bank One Bank two
#1 #8
#4 #3
#6 #5
#7 #2

Others have done it simply left and right bank. Does it make a difference? Not that i can tell. Some have said the idle quality is slightly better doing it the way i did, but who knows?

So let me get this straight. I leave the hot wire alone on the injector, then i Splice 4 wires into the injector 1 wire then another 4 into the injector 2 and set it that way?

Yes that is the correct way to do it.

Re: only 2 injector wires? MEgasquirt issue

To give you a little more info,
The 1227730 ECM has two wires that come from the same single driver chip.
They just split the wires so the traces on the board would not have to take all the current through a single trace.Even though they both go to the same place. All injectors fire at the same time in "batch fire" setups.
The 749 ECM actually has two separate drivers in it but they fire together.
