ok, so im kinda lost.

last weekend i purchased a Moates Xtreme ALDL and USB cable, a Moates Burn1, and a 7747 ECM with an S2 28 pin ZIF socket already installed. the truck was originally equipped with a 6299 ECM, and im told that the 7747 is a direct plug in. i happen to have another stock 7747 ECM laying around so i plugged it in tonight, just playing around with it, and the truck seems to run as normal (or perhaps a little better) with the 7747 in it. i tried to get in and do a little datalogging, but couldnt get TunerPro RT to show me any sort of information at all. the boxes in the bottom left of the Tuner Pro window read as follows:
"Not Emulating"
"Hardware Not Found"
"Not Ready"
"ALDL Connected"

i went into ALDL setup, and am using the 1227747_42.ads file as my datastream definition.

what am i missing here? and in what order should i be connecting and initializing connections and such?

is there an idiots guide to datalogging with TunerPro RT?

also, i dont know if it makes any difference or not, but i havent registered my copy of TunerPro RT yet.

any help you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated.
