305 to 350

I am pulling my 305 TPI (speed density setup ... 1992 Trans Am) soon and swapping everything to a 350 long block.

I don't care to do my own prom tuning. I just need to know what to replace as far as the computer is concerned. Where is it located and what do I need to pull/replace?

Thanks!

Oh ... and where can I find the right prom? Junk yard or do they sell them aftermarket?

Re: 305 to 350

ECM is under the dash on the passenger side, silver box. It is on a slide mount, push the bottom of the ECM toward the front of the car (should hear velcro letting go), then once clear of the mount pull straight down.

Open small cover (2 screws) and the MEMCAL is there. As for what is the correct PROM, that will depend upon the rest of the combo. For a stock L98 in a 3rd gen you need AUJP.
