ecm swap

i have an 82 camaro stock all original with cfi. The tb on the drivers side works fine but the passengers side has nothing, i swap the connectors it works perfect, so i know the injector works. Move down to the ecm swap the wires there and that seems to be where my problem is. I ran a test lead form the ecm (hooked a long piece of wire to the injector 2 wire) and plugged it into the injector still nothing, thought i might have had a short in the original wiring, both fuses are good. No cel that i can see, it just seems that the ecm is bad, i guess.
Question is what do i do should i swap the ecm or is it something simple?
I found an ecm from a vette the number is 1226026 will it work in my car, my ecm is the 1225550.

Stock 305cfi, automatic tranny, please someone help me

remove the inspection cover. It is like 2 inch x 4 inch. there is a chip and a calpack(smaller chip) under cover. Note direction-orientation. Be very careful when removing and more so reinserting. There might be a plastic "keeper" over chip that may have to be carefully removed. Been a while since I did so. Might be photos on crossfire forum or here in DIY-Prom. Instruction to remove may be on hypertech site as well.

The ECU is under dash at passanger area I believe. the ECU has a small access panel to remove chip as I described.
