Standalone OBD-I Datalogger

There are a plethora of standalone OBD-II dataloggers out there, but not a single one for obd-I atleast that I havn't found yet...

I want something like the dashdaq shown here > http://www.dashdaq.com/features/gauges.htm

There are hundreds of these for obd-II....

Anyone know of something like this??

You will see it is also a modified GM ECU.

I'd like it to be standalone, meaning I wouldn't need to hook a laptop up, just have a little screen that is permanently in the car.

I did look at that before tho, it looks like a nice system.

Re: Standalone OBD-I Datalogger

Craig Moates developed one a couple years ago but I'm not sure why it didn't make his list of products.
Had a nice little LCD on it. Was about the size of a pack of smokes.
Try sending an email and ask.
You'd still need a laptop or other computer to burn any changes needed so it might not have been a high demand item.

Def have to email him, i've already got the burn1 and have done quite abit of datalogging and tuning with a homemade cable and a laptop on the pass. seat, just thought it'd be easier to have a datadash installed in the car, plus after i've got my tune nailed it'd like to still see what is all going on inside the engine.

Thought that maybe there would have been more of a demand for something like that, but I guess not.

Thanks for the heads up!

Looking into the scanmaster, and that is pretty cool, but it only allows you to view one parameter at a time, you can view o2 and knock continuously but you have to cycle thru the modes to view multiple streams from the sensors....

That's almost what I want, but not quite....if you could view mutiple streams like 3 or 4 at the same time, it'd be perfect....
