Need ECM help
I have finally come to the conclusion that my ECM is fried. It turns my fuel pump on when it wants to. I tested the green trigger wire and it does not get 12v for 2 seconds (prime) when I turn the key. With that being said, it's got to be fried or something. So now I have the 1228746 ECM.
I am looking to buy a new one but I have a few questions. The car is a 5 speed, no airbags with VATS. If I still have the same prom can I buy any 1228746 ECM? Even if the ECM is an automatic, airbags and no VATS? Or do I need a exact replica of my car...
I do not understand what I can use and not use without getting codes and such.

Re: Need ECM help
Not sure what the "green" wire is so...
The ECM may provide ground or possibly the 12V output for the fuel pump relay. Relay might be coming on but not getting power at the contacts.
Confirm you have 12V at the FP relay. The ECM turns on the relay to run the pump.
There is also an oil pressure switch that will bypass the relay and provide the pump with power in case the relay was to fail. Cranking could take a bit longer because oil pressure has to develop before you would get fuel.
