what other cars/trucks can i get the computer out of to work with my 87 iroc it has the 165 in it now. i will use my chip but can i use others?

 

Yes, a '7165 is a '7165, doesn't matter which vehicle it came from. As you mention will need to swap your MEMCAL into it. Unless you get one from the same vehicle as yours. Check out the tech articles there is a swap list for ECMs:

ok say i have a problem with for example my torque locking in too early would that be in the memcal or the ecm.Im haveing a few ecm related problems but im not shure if its the chip or just the ecm itself
