I have a 1989 camaro v6 2.8 l. I am trying to swap the ECM from a Junkyard car to mine. Its the same type of car same year. same engine. Is changing the ECM as easy as pluggin it to the connectors? How do i go about it knowing the car has the VATS secutrity thing going on? Is there anything else that has to be programmed?

After pulling 25+ ECM's from JY donors this job is about 1 minute to pull (never mind the interior trim) and 30 seconds to plug-in. It is plug and go.
For VATS - see VATS FAQ in tech section elsewhere in TGO. Look for security light in your instrument cluster.
