Re: Torque Converter Lockup Switch

Hey all,

I've recently removed the computer and the only real function that I'm interested in that has been lost has been the torque converter lockup via the ECM. I read the switch article that says to plug into the ALDL. With the ECM removed, will this install route work? If not, is there any way that this same idea can be employed? I don't mind hitting the switch on long drives, but for city traffic, I don't think expect that I'll be hitting the 3rd gear for times where the lockup function will be of significant benefit. But to get to the beach (obviously what this car is for ) I'd need some way to engage it.

Thanks in advance.
