1227730 and boost

i have a L31 vortec engine that i will be converting to obdI so i can tune by EPROM, but future plans include a couple of turbochargers, can the 1227730 ecm manage boost with proper EPROM programing or is it really necessary to use the 1227749 ecm??

Re: 1227730 and boost

The '7730 can use the same code as the '7749, just certain pins need to be set up for the '7730, such as the ALDL serial data, and TCC/shift light.

If you are interested on forced induction, look at using $59 (www.code59.org), extended VE and spark maps (3 BAR), WBO2 fueling control and a bunch of other changes.
