New MSQ base tune (how am I doing)
New MSQ base tune (how am I doing)
I've been working on getting a base tune set up for my TPI 305 engine and here's what I've got so far. I had a few questions, the first one is:
-I'm using the HEI settings. What do I use for Dwell the documentation says that the module controls Dwell but it still appears to want settings
-Can someone give me a crib sheet for the warm up %s on a TPI engine for the warm up wizard? For some reason when I tried this on a TBI engine it seemed like that was the most difficult part of getting it running initially.
Other than that feel free to provide feedback based on what's there.
Engine is:
-305 TPI with ported base/plenum/heads (no #s self done)
-28.5lb/hr GN injectors
-Wide band will be the JAW kit I have not figured out what settings to use for that yet. I need to go over the software and docs for it again. I think it will do emulation modes of other common WBs though. I "might" have whats left of an LC1 here too. It sort of got melted though but the board looked whole.
-IGN is simple, 7 pin HEI
-electrical is a TBI harness rewired for TPI (changed injector harness) and using the adapter board. As a question about the adapter board my Astro did not come with an AIT sensor standard. What pin does this go to on the adapter board so I can run a wire?

Yeah I did the basics on my desktop and I got it to where it will pop over after a few seconds of cranking. I am reinstalling my laptop (Had CentOS Linux on there) as megatunix seems in a horrid state of disrepair so I'm going to put Windows back on it and proceed from there. As of now I'm thinking a combination of more cranking PW and more fuel at startup. I went conservative with my startup fuel, nothing sucks more than to have it where it floods out.

to check if this is a problem in Your case just disconnect by-pass and try to fire it up, if it will then You for sure need to do this wiring with relay

The cool thing about the adapter board is that it's built into it. I had that set up with my 4.3L If you don't have it the timing control gets wierd and it won't start like you said.

I got it to the point it would idle with a little pedal, but then it would "seek" for the right RPM. Any thoughts? I need to set base timing still but I think my light bit it.
