Are all 16197427 the same?

I think I know the answer to this, but to be sure I wanna ask:

If I want to replace a broken 16197427, can I use any 16197427 ecm?

For example, if I have a 350 V8, can I take a 16197427 from a 4.3L V6 and just switch the definition chip?
