SS Laser cut Edelbrock Pro-Flow XT brackets, Anyone interested
Well in my resent efforts to build a Megasquirt EFI setup for my Vortec SBC/700r4 powered rx7, I ran into a few problems.
I'm an M.E. and have designed some .108" thick 304 Stainless brackets and plates to correct these issues and was wondering if anyone else would be interested in a set? I can customize your set a bit as I'm looking at paying $ for one off parts as it is.
I purchased the Edelbrock Pro-flow XT manifold and fuel rails (P/N #7138 and #3627) http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_...fi_chevy.shtml.

with the expectations of using stock LS2 fuel injectors and an 85mm LS1 Pro Products Throttle Body (P/N #69727). I managed to get the TB off ebay for $50 and presently surprised with the quality and machining.
1) The first issue I ran into was the manifold has no IAC porting for a stock style LS1 throttle body (Edelbrock's TB routes the air back to a port in the main bore). Edelbrock sells an adapter plate to allow this but its only 78mm. So I'm having a new plate made to for an 85mm port. I could easily have a 90mm made if needed (manifolds actual diameter is 90mm). My adapter plate will also be the same thickness as Edelbrock's piece.
2) If you do not use the super short Pico style injectors, which have very few options and premium pricing (cheapest i've found $50 a piece!), you will have the fuel rail interfering with the throttle cable/TV cable bracket. I have designed a new bracket that will not interfere with the fuel rail and works with my new TV Cable throttle body bracket. The bracket will need Lokar Cut-To-Fit throttle and TV cables as well.
3) As mentioned above I also had to design a new TV cable bracket to be attached to the Throttle body shaft. The Professional products TB comes with a bracket on it (not sure what its specifically for on an LS1) but is not the correct geometry for a 700r4 TV cable. As we all know the TV cable geometry is crucial to a 700r4's life/performance so i've taken special care to make the geometry mirror GM's original design. The bracket's cable attachment stud comes with the Lokar Cut-to-Fit TV cable.
I'll be posting pictures up later this evening for folks to see exactly what i'm talking about.
Again I'm just seeing if anyone else would be interested as I'm going to have these made in the next month. I will only ask exactly what they cost to have made and shipped.
