Having a bad day. Help?
I'm trying to fix my code 43. I think I have a broken wire. But I'm also real bad at troubleshooting electronics. I tried to test light the dark blue wire at the f9 port on my ECM. I'm not getting anything with the power on. Then again I'm also not getting a reading on the dark blue that's right next to it ... It's hard to tell what port which wire goes to. Anyway, that wire doesn't get a reading either. Am I doing something wrong? Or can someone please tell me what is wrong? Lol
Re: Having a bad day. Help?
Test light can do more damage then any good when it comes to ECM and any EFI wiring. Most of it is not 12 volt...
Probably help to know what year, make, engine and ECM number also. Some code 43 was glitch in factory chips...

It's the 730 ECM. 1991 z28 l98. I've heard the comp can cause problems. But I don't knowhow to test for it.

Does anyone know if the motor has to be running to get a reading of voltage from the ECM? Like from the wire commng out? I've tested the wire with a voltmeter as well and got no reading.
