Re: ez EFI- the install - so, how's it doing?

O.K. but the owner of the last Ramjet I did wouldn't have been able to go from 93 to 87 octane without spark control.
FYI- If you have a stock or nearly stock Ramjet then I have a cal that is plug and play, little or no tuning. Gauranteed.

Re: ez EFI- the install

as long as you dont flip flop on fuel and tune it for what fuel your going to run it shouldnt matter. as for me i use 93 and only 93.
IIRC the ram jet is layed out in the same idea as the TPI so you sould be in good shape. if you are using a 90-92 car you will still need to keep power to your ECM so your speedo and gauges will function. this is the only thing i really dont know alot about being my car is 89 and 90-92 cars had stuff intergrated into the ECM.

But if you have better fuel and spark control it's easier to tune it for a lower octane fuel, plain and simple. There's no way we could have gotten this Ramjet to ingest 87 with no problems without the total spark control.

And the runners on the Ramjet are much shorter than a TPI, that will effect the torque curve and consequently the fuel and spark curves as well.

Jmo.

Reviving a dead thread here...

I've been looking at this system off and on for the past couple of years. I DESPERATELY want it for my 1987 Pontiac Fiero V6. I'm not sure if anything has changed, but this system was the closest I've ever seen to a simple
"plug and play" solution.

I've got a well-modified V6/60. It's a 2.8 with 3.1 crank and rods, and a .040 overbore, with a Crane Cam H272 cam, and 1.6:1 roller-rockers, along with a port-matched entire intake set-up, and a bored factory Holley throttle body. It's also got 17# injectors as well.

This system seems ABSOLUTELY PERFECT, but it kills... KILLS ME that they don't offer it with Spark Control. ... WHY? It makes no sense. How difficult would it be to simply add spark control to this system? Why didn't they consider that as an option... it makes no sense.

Again, I'm just getting back to looking at this seriously since... say 2014... so maybe things have changed???
