Need F.I. ECU Expert help

To start with i just want to say that i know there are setups out there that are available but im looking to redesign what should have been factory.
The project is a 1991 4.3L V6 TBI
What im trying to do is create a true fuel injection system that is very cost effective.
I want to take the factory 4.3 tbi intake manifold and put fuel rails on it similar to this design:

The fabrication will be easy because i have access to a machine shop. The problem i face is tuning.
I want to keep this cost effective so im wanting to use a factory-style ecu setup, so no megasquirt or anything.
All im needing help figuring out is how do i go from an ecu firing two injectors to firing 6 injectors?

Re: Need F.I. ECU Expert help

depends on what ECM you want to run...

and what kind of injectors as well. if you're going to try and run 6 peak/hold, then you're going to limit your options, but 6 saturated injectors will run on nearly any ECM.

Re: Need F.I. ECU Expert help

I was hoping to run LS1 style injectors just because they seem the most common to get in different flow rates.
Also the ecm im using is what im not sure of.
I know the GMC Typhoon runs a fuel injection similar to this from the factory and doesnt use a cam sensor or anything. Thats the only ecm i can find that does. I was hoping to get some others that are a little easier to find but im not sure what other GM v6 runs fuel injection other than the OBD1 vortec 4.3
