Car doesnt start unless I spray starter Fluid
1987 Trans AM TPI
Ok, i recently changed the whole spark system. (plugs, wires, coil, cap, rotor, control module.) Now the car will not start unless I spray starter fuild in the intake. I would think that ofcourse its not getting fuel. Wierd thing is that once the engine is on it runs fine, I drove it today almost 20 miles, when i got to the store i had to shoot the starter fluid in again then it drove all the way home. Which means once it is on it's getting fuel regularly. I thought of the cold start injector but when i tried to start the car at the store the engine was hot. On key-on I can hear the fuel pump, so it's not that, and with the car able to run and perform fine once the engine is on that means the pump and all the injectors are fine. Is there something that could be stopping the engine from getting fuel while cranking?

try keying it a few times (get the fuel pump to prime a few times) see if that helps?

Try blipping the throttle when it starts firing, as for the problem maybe FPR or a leak or something.

I havnt tried the noid light yet, gonna go the the auto store this afternoon to get it. when i try to fire it out i tried the throttle, but the engine is very unresponsive while firing up. It doesnt do that fast the slow kinda firing up as it its trying to fire, it just turns same rythem untill the battery starts to die. FPR is a good call, i'll check that out this afternoon as well.

Check both your 20 amp injector fuses in the fuse panel.
