Switchable Programs

Hey guys,

I am not too savvy with the programming and whatnot of cars, so if this sounds like it isn't possible with our cars, just say so haha.

I was wondering if there was is a way to have two programs for the car to run on that could be toggled by a switch or some sort of input. Kinda like a fuel saver/economy setting and a performance setting. Let me know if this is possible on our cars. In case you need to know, my car is a '91 GTA but with an '87 modified motor from another GTA.

Re: Switchable Programs

Yes, it is possible.

Look at the Two-Timer from moates.net.

You could also have up to 8 different bins using the G3, and for remote switching the EX Remote.

Re: Switchable Programs

I just checked those out and the TwoTimer looks like it would do just fine. If I bought all the things I would need to do this, would a speed shop be able to set it up for me since I have no idea what I am doing? Or if there is anyone willing to teach me how to do all this or lives anywhere near Harrisonburg, VA or Manassas, VA that wouldn't mind helping me with everything, I would be up for that. For someone who knows how to do all this stuff, about how long would this type of project take? And, could someone tell me everything I would need to buy in order to do this type of project? I don't currently have anything that goes along with programming chips except a laptop haha.

Re: Switchable Programs

Does that work on a TPI though? It only says that it works on TBI or MPFI...

For what he wants to do though, I think the EBL is overkill.

Re: Switchable Programs

Is there a simpler way to do this? What about the autoprom from moates? Would that be simple to install for someone who hasn't worked with chips? I'm not sure what else I would need to get with it though...

Re: Switchable Programs

Moates.net
G3 adapter
F040 chip
EX switcher

Flash,n Burn to make the chips
TunerPro V5 to make "stacking" the bins easier.

Laptop
Logging cable if you don't already have one. (Moates has them too)
Easy to install, Good for multiple bins switching.
