87 Trans Am, running rich at idle

I need some help from the experts here. I recently purchased an 87 TA and it's idling rough and very rich. I have done the TPS calibration and also set the Idle Air (minimum air). What I have noticed was when I did the Idle air adjustment and put the ECM into diagnostic mode for 30 seconds then disconnected the IAC and started the engine it idles almost perfect. So could it be that my IAC is bad? When I connect it the car goes back to the rough and rich idle. I am also getting codes 33 and 36. I have already bought a remanufactured MAF and that didn't clear the codes. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
