89 Formula won't start check engine light wont come on
I have a 1989 Firebird Formula 305 that will turn over but not start. The check engine light will not come on even when I turn the key to the "on" position, or when I try to get trouble codes. The wire on the back of the fuel pump relay came out and shorted out with the other wire in the plug. I have replaced the fuel pump relay. Since then, I have had the above problems. Do you think I need to replace the ECM? Any other ideas?? Thanks

Need to find the in-line fuse under the hood. This is the one ttop350 mentioned by the battery. Although GM moved it around some, there is a wire that runs along the passenger side wheel well, under the hood. In-line usually but not always near the battery or off the junction block is a fuse holder with a 20 A fuse in it. That fuse provides battery power for the ECM and to the fuel pump relay.
All symptoms and the cause point to that fuse being popped.
