Clueless ECM

OKay so Ive been trying to ground my ECM( I Have the ECM key thing). But it doesn't seem to work, I check the ECM fuse (10) it was fine. So should I replace my 1991 camaro Rs 5.0 ECM or is there a way to figure it out. Also my dang Service engine light won't appear I checked the bulb and that was good.

I take it the engine won't start and the fuel pump doesn't run? There is another fuse under the hood along the passenger side wheel-well. It is inline a heavy gauge wire that is by itself. The fuse is in a plastic holder and is a 20A unit.

GM moved it around some so I can't give an exact location. This wire starts at either the battery or the junction block on the radiator support.

Re: Clueless ECM

RBOB,
i have replaced my ECU and I have checked the 20AMP fuse (inline) and it is good. car wont start with cold ambient temp outside. i put a floor heater down on pass floor board and about 10 minutes later, it will start. When ambient temp is cold, i have no pressure at Shrader valve. Any other suggestions please?

Re: Clueless ECM

check pin A11 for corrosion or a loose fit at the ecm harness connector.

Re: Clueless ECM

I am having the exact same problem when the weather is cold or the colder the more difficult it is to start the car, what I do is put ignition switch open, thenthe ses light Begins to flash after a few minutes and stabilizes after about half an hour to an hour that's when the car turns well like any problem. I can even burn out if a want.

seems that the problem is the ecm but not what they have exactly
i discovered that the ecm has to be warm for the ses light stays on and the car turn well

Note .-The colder the longer needs the switch to be open so the light stays on and stabilized. And whit the switch open the ecm starts to warm up. Sorry for the english using Googletranslator.
