engine temp wrong in TTS Datamaster?

Have any of you guys experienced this in Datamaster? I know its winter, but i run a 180 thermostat and noticed in a few of my recent logs in TTS Datamaster that my engine temp never comes close to 180. It's like 173 at the most. Now my fan is set in my custom chip to come on at 195 and off at 190,but i have never seen the temp in Datamaster even come close. So, i am wondering if this program is reading accurately? I will check again and listen for my main fan to come on and let you all know. If someone experiences this same thing ,please let me know.

Check the coolant sensor and connector. The connections/terminals tend to corrode a bit which causes a lower temperature reading.

Of course it could be that the thermostat is bad.

BTDT with both causes.
