Some PROM questions

I have a mail order tune on it's way, it is on a piggyback adapter so I need a stock PROM. My car is an '85 Corvette but I upgraded the ecm to the 165 version. Here are my questions,,
1. Can I buy any stock prom as long as it is for the 165 ecm?
2. Can I use a Camaro/Firebird PROM or does it have to be Corvette?
3. Does it have to be for an automatic trans.?
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Re: Some PROM questions

if you have a piggyback tune on it's way for the 165 you just need a tpi maf memcal from 86-89 and it will not matter what the calibration is because you are just using the 16055375 and 16055376 for i/o and lhm. You will need to have you fan setting change too n/o I believ or the cooing fans will run all the time.

Re: Some PROM questions

you can always use a 3.1 or 2.8 memcal from a 1227730 and jumper 56 to 62 on the memcal.
